Principals, Jazz and Showteams
Sisters Rebecca and Nicole Micallef have been dancing together for 24 years. Performing at eisteddfods and choreographing many award winning eisteddfod routines of their own, Rebecca and Nicole wish to enthuse and inspire the dancing generation of today. Over the years, their ground breaking choreography and style has revolutionised and captivated their audience.
Rebecca and Nicole are very involved in all aspects of the studio from being the Principals of the studio and also teaching all the jazz classes, showteams and private lessons.
Jazz and Showteams
Laura began dancing at the age of 3. She went on to study at ED5 International, completing a Certificate IV in Performing Arts where she had the privilege of working with Australia’s top choreographers.
Throughout her career, Laura has performed at the Australian MTV awards, Dolly Teen Choice Awards, film clips and shows for various artists including- Ricki Lee and Angus & Julia Stone. For the last few years Laura has worked for Princess Cruises, travelling and performing around the world.
Jazz, Kicks Leaps and Turns and Showteams
Katie started dancing at the age of 3 in Hervey Bay, QLD. After training at the Australian Dance Performance Institute in Brisbane, she was offered a contract with Carnival Cruise Lines and performed all over the world between 2009 – 2012.
Since moving to Sydney in 2012, Katie has had the pleasure of working with renowned choreographers such as: The Squared Division, Matt Lee, Kate-Wormald, and Leah Howard. She has also featured in Film Clips with Red Foo and Timomatic, performed with Jessie J and Red Foo on X-Factor Australia, was a regular dancer on Australia’s Got Talent, performed alongside Ricky Martin at the 2013 NRL Grand Final and on The Voice Australia 2014, performed with Delta Goodrem at the 2014 Mardis Gras and continues tour with Timomatic.
Winston is not only an up & coming Australian Dancing Prodigy, but also a renowned Urban HipHop Choreographer. Despite Winston’s young age he has excelled through the world of HipHop and has already achieved many significant feats. Just some of these feats include Three Crew World Titles representing Australia in Mexico, Three Solo National Titles and one Solo International Title over in the United States of America.
Jackie Trained at Premiere Elite Studios on the Central Coast, training extensively in all styles of dance and has received a distinction in her Advanced 1 RAD Examinations. Jackie has had the opportunity to train on scholarship in Los Angeles with DanceLife Unite at Millennium Dance Complex learning from the likes of Kevin Maher and Matt Steffanina. In 2018 Jackie travelled to New York to take up a Joffrey summer school scholarship in their Contemporary/ Jazz program.
Most recently Jackie has completed her Certificate IV in Dance at Ettingshausens Pro Fulltime Course as a scholarship student: training under the guidance of industry professionals like Kelley Abbey and Keith Hawley. Some of Jackie’s work includes projects with Mitchell Woodcock such as UK artist James Arthur’s film clip for “You Deserve Better”. Jackie has also performed at global conference’s such as Oriflame and on Live TV events such as Guy Sebastian’s State of Origin Grand Final performance and Channel 9’s The Voice. In 2018 Jackie joined the WE ARE DANCE Project as a cast member in their debut show choreographed by Stephen Tannos and most recently starred as a lead role in JTown Creative’s short film ‘Only God Can Fix You’
From the age of 9 Tracy trained at a local dance studio in Jazz, Acrobatics, Contortion, Ballet, Tap and singing
Tracy has worked professionally as a contortionist, acrobat and dancer around Australia and overseas performing as a specialty act in clubs and for corporate events at venues such as Jupiters Casino, Gold Coast, Australia’s Wonderland, on cruise ships, at Charity Events, Weddings and Talent Quests. Tracy has also worked professionally in Cabaret shows, and was even a Grand Finalist in Young Talent Time.
Tracy has over 30 years teaching experience starting at the age of 17 at the studio where she trained then eventually opened her own very successful dance and acrobatic studio in St Marys for 21years. Many of Tracy’s students have gone on to work professionally in the entertainment industry .
Kicks, Leaps and Turns and Open Ballet
Daniel began his dance training with Nicole and Rebecca Micallef at the age of ten, training in Jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary. Daniel then moved to Alegria Ballet Studios in the heart of Sydney, where he undertook full-time training in classical ballet. Upon completing his course at Alegria, he obtained a scholarship to study at the Miami City Ballet School in Miami, Florida. Daniel furthered his studies at The Washington School of Ballet in Washington, D.C., and was then promoted to the professional company of The Washington Ballet.
Daniel also performed with the Los Angeles Ballet. Notable awards include Gold in Men’s contemporary at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2012, and two-time Helen Hayes Award winner for his portrayal of Edmund in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Recently in 2016, Daniel performed with local Sydney dance company Danza del Arte in La Choreografia, winning the dance award at the Sydney Fringe Festival.
Enza Russo started her training at a young age with Glenda Yee School of Dance. After completing her school years at McDonald College of Performing Arts, with further training at the Musical Theatre Project and completed her Certificate IV Performing Arts (Vocal Major) with ED5 International. She trained her vocals with Patricia Johnson, Sheena Williams and currently with Michael Smith. Her musical style is inspired by the likes of Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield, Michael Jackson, Alicia keys, Barbra Streisand and Idina Menzel.
This vast range of influences has shaped the performer Enza is today. No stranger to the microphone, she has hosted many children’s shows in Australia for Showtime attractions and Millennium Entertainment. Enza is a passionate singer and songwriter in her own right and is proud of a dream that has now become her career.
Musical Theatre and Showteams
Kelly commenced dancing at a young age, she attended a performing arts high school, The McDonald College of Performing Arts, she then completed a Certificate Lvl 4 in Performing Arts (majoring in dance) at ED5 International under the direction of William A Forsythe.
Kelly has recently completed a BA Honours Degree in Musical Theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, her skills include Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, singing and acting. Kelly performed in a number of productions while in Singapore including – Thoroughly Modern Millie, A Handful of Keys, The Spitfire Grill, Gypsy and more and has been fortunate to work with and learn from teachers, directors and choreographers from all over the world including Nikki Snelson (original Brooke Wyndham, Legally Blonde Broadway) Kelly has recently been assistant to Nikki Snelson, with Musical Theatre workshops in Manilla and Sydney.
Glenn Wood Tap and Singing
Stefani commenced dancing at the age of 6 and has 16 years dance experience. She has been trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, acrobatics and singing. Stefani has also successfully completed all levels of the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus and has graduated a Bachelor of Music at JMC Academy.
Stefani has been a student at 2Step Dance for the past 10 years and is a great example of hard work, determination and is a great role model to all students she teaches. Her talent and experience is a great asset to our school and we have had the pleasure of watching her grow from student to teacher at 2Step Dance.
